Fjellskål Fisketorget (Bergen-style Smoked Seafood), Trekroneren (Bergen Street Food), Local Craft Beer or Scandinavian Spirit, Bare Vestland (Traditional Bergen Fish Dish) and Sweet Rain (Bergen-inspired Dessert). Not to mention, guests will have the opportunity to taste an array of iconic Bergen dishes from a 1929 recipe!

Founded in 1929 by the Hagelin sister's, Søstrene Hagelin still continues to serve authentic Norwegian seafood classics from their original 1929 recipes.

Our food tours include 6 tasting locations including a variety of styles of restaurants, artisan shops, and local hot spots. The Bergen Classic offers a variety of bite-size tastings and drinks such as a wide selection of traditionally smoked seafood (minimum of 5 types), decadent dessert, iconic Bergen Fish Soup, reindeer sausage, a traditional potato and fish dish, and a local craft beer or Aquavit tasting.
We CAN provide substitutions for gluten intolerance, meat and those who do not drink alcohol, but we CANNOT provide substitutions for those who do not eat fish or any other allergies or dietary preferences. Allergies and preferences must be indicated in the Notes section when purchasing your ticket. You can also email us if you have any questions.

Tours generally last 3 hours depending on the tour route, and guests can expect to be standing or walking for some of the time. We walk at a moderate pace and also provide at least four sit-down locations on each food tour for at least 60 minutes resting time.
The Bergen Classic is a relaxed pace tour that is suitable for all fitness levels.
The Bergen Street Art Tour is a 2 hour moderate walking experience. Guests can expect to be standing or walking for all of the time.
