Join this 3-hour authentic Bergenser tasting experience. Our tour guides will help you easily navigate through this UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, while you uncover Bergen’s rich food history and culture. You will learn about local ingredients and expert preparations involved in each dish. Discover the background of the chef’s and artisans we visit as well as their influence on Bergen’s evolving food scene.
Stroll through the main streets of Bergen Sentrum which boasts top restaurants, informative museums, and historic landmarks. You’ll cross over the famous Fish Market and conclude at Bryggen, Bergen’s picturesque waterfront.

Our food tours include 6 tasting locations including a variety of styles of restaurants, artisan shops, and local hot spots. The Bergen Classic offers a variety of bite-size tastings and drinks such as a wide selection of traditionally smoked seafood (minimum of 5 types), decadent dessert, Norwegian brown cheese, iconic Bergen Fish Soup, reindeer sausage, a traditional potato and fish dish, and a local craft beer tasting.
We CAN provide substitutions for vegetarians and those who do not drink alcohol, but we CANNOT provide substitutions for any other allergies or dietary preferences. Tours generally last 3 hours depending on the tour route, and guests can expect to be standing or walking for some of the time. We walk at a moderate pace and also provide at least four sit-down locations on each food tour for at least 60 minutes resting time.
The Bergen Classic is a relaxed pace tour that is suitable for all fitness levels.
The Bergen Street Art Tour is a 2 hour moderate walking experience. Guests can expect to be standing or walking for all of the time.
Guests will be seated for most of the transportation, guided tour and beer tasting at the 7 Fjell Experience with minimal walking.
The Bergen Classic and Bergen Street Art Tours are only offered in English at this time. The guided microbrewery tour and beer tasting on the 7 Fjell Experience are offered in both English and Norwegian.
